The Inner IDEA® journey continues. Life is a journey and Inner IDEA is the destination that enhances you and your personal transformation. At the Inner IDEA Conference, attendees found the education, research, practical solutions and training to achieve greater health, vitality and happiness. Inner IDEA created an immersion experience that enabled attendees to discover new dimensions of their mind, body and spirit. Like-minded people—passionate about holistic health that honors mind, body and spirit—coming together to create a new paradigm. That resounding feedback from past participants inspired this year’s theme, A Community in Motion.

2008 Highlights:

• La Quinta Resort & Club the perfect desert oasis setting for the Inner IDEA retreat.

• Opening Ceremony with keynote presenter Patrick Gentempo and meditation with special guest, Swami Veda Bharati.

• An exploration of 2 unique all-day preconferences: Happiness Coaching: It's in Our DNA and Creating and Deepening Your Yoga Practice.

• Over 150 mind-body-spirit sessions designed to integrate mindfulness and the 10 principles of Inner IDEA.

• A faculty of world-renowned presenters dedicated to the principles and practices of holistic wellness.

• Presentation of the second Inner IDEA Inspiration Award to Frank and Serpil Iszak, founders of Silver Age Yoga Community Outreach.

• Five unique hosted meal experiences that emphasize conscious eating and community connection.

• Inner IDEA Marketplace offered various educational products to expand one's mind, body and spirit.

2008 Inspiration Award The Inner IDEA Inspiration Award recognizes individuals whose outstanding leadership in the wellness field has inspired people toward mindful activity and a healthy lifestyle. This year’s award recipients were Frank and Serpil Iszak, founders of Silver Age Yoga Community Outreach. The program provides instructors with skills to teach older yoga students, reaching over 400 seniors. Frank and Serpil have trained over 100 yoga teachers in geriatric science-based yoga to meet the special needs of their senior citizens. So far over 4,000 free weekly classes have been delivered at 23 sites in San Diego since the start of this project four years ago.
